Ticket Owner Reporter Resolution Summary
#7 Yuri Dario Yuri Dario fixed rpm: automatic requires clause for DLLs
Description

Under unix, RPM is able to parse ELF binaries and detect which shared libraries are needed to execute code. It will be nice to get the same feature under OS/2; this will require a virtual package for OS/2 system libraries.

#20 Yuri Dario Yuri Dario wontfix Use %TMP% for bootstrap package
Description

Here is a silly question: I have the following in my config.sys file:-

REM [ Temporary Directories ] SET TMP=J:\temp SET TEMP=J:\temp SET TMPDIR=J:\temp

So why does this package create a \tmp directory?

Why does it not use the predefined %TMP%?

#43 Lewis Rosenthal fixed Can't upgrade libc-devel to 0.6.5 after binutils-devel 2.21
Description

I suspect this is a repository issue and not a yum or rpm thing. Please bear with me, as I spend much more time with zypper than I do with yum. :-)

Attempting the above brings me:

Transaction Check Error:

file /@unixroot/usr/include/ansidecl.h from install of libc-devel-0.6.5-14.oc0

Please let me know what else I might be able to do short of uninstalling binutils-devel (which I really don't want to do) and then installing libc-devel.

yum is 3.2.27 rpm is 4.8.1
