Port all key classes of the Qt toolkit. Some specific limitations (like printing) are still there, but most general purpose Qt applications should build.

Note: The GA will not be released until all tickets marked as blockers or critical are done. The completion of tasks with lower states depends on the time we will actually have and on the progress on blockers. If we are out of time, these tasks will be moved to the Enhanced milestone.

Note2: we hope to have all blockers done by the scheduled date.

Note3: the GA will also include Qt designer

Note4: Moved the due date because of more features wanted in the release.

Milestone: Qt 4.6.2

Completed 4 years ago (May 14, 2010, 1:38:06 PM)

Key goals:

  • Upgrade the source tree to version 4.6.1 from the vendor.
  • Add printer support.
  • Add dummy accessibility support.

Slightly moved forward due to more features we decided to have in the 4.6.1 release.

Since Qt released 4.6.2 in the meantime, we decided to update to it before the release to stay on the edge.

Postponed to give it better testing. There is a lot of new code, webkit is the major update for the OS/2 version which is a handy piece of software.

Postponed two months due to priority change.

Milestone: Qt 4.6.3

Upgrade the source tree to version 4.6.3 from the vendor and incorporate the latest fixes of the OS/2 port.

Moved forward due to the lack of time (Java porting).

Moved again due to the decision to add some more features (mostly, the RPM installer).
