#177 fixed "aspell" bombs with library error trying to check an HTML file Alfredo Fernández Díaz
Description

As per eFTE/2 ticket #44 I just tried aspell, as installed a few days ago via ANPM.

Issuing the command "aspell -c file.htm" it just bombs with

Error: html: dlopen returned "dlopen rc=2 extra=C:\USR\LIB\ASPELL-0.60\SGML-FILTER.SO".

with any HTML file.

That ".so" file never made it to my system, but at least the error mentions html :/

Whatever else you need to know, just ask. If there's something wrong with this report, please say so and give pointers to any how-to with the right information.

TIA, AFD.

#190 no change needed ASpell 0.60.6.1-4 behaves like term is NULL (but it is OS2) Alfredo Fernández Díaz
Description

This a direct follow up to #178, in more ways than one.

After we seemingly got ASpell running in that one, I finally came round to start testing in a work machine. As per Murphy's law, it just fails again.

So, this is an old Spanish MCP2 system, with a fresh yum/rpm install, and of course SET TERM=OS2 is in place, but ASpell still behaves here as it did in #178 in the virtual toy system with no SET TERM.

Sure enough, my first suspicion is again ANPM didn't do something it must have, but I didn't even have a look at the ASpell sources or ANPM internals yet so I don't know what to check/test next and see if I need to (re)install something with yum. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,

(Yes, I am still alive -- just came out of deep freeze ;)

#20 invalid Add madvise() support for mmap Lewis Rosenthal
Description

We need a robust log rotation app for eCS. I suggested porting logrotate (https://fedorahosted.org/logrotate/) which seems to be something fairly common across several *nix distros.

Paul had a look and advises that our current mmap (20111102, on my system, which seems to be the latest available) does not support madvise(), and is apparently a requirement for building logrotate.

(Yuri, I am cc'ing you here, as I believe the current mmap is one of yours.)

N.B.: mmap is not a selectable component in the dropdown list in this tracker.
