#13 fixed Thinkpad W500 video to external monitor fails after reboot BlondeGuy
Description

With Thinkpad W500, Panorama works beautifully at 1920 x 1200 on the LCD screen and also out to an external VGA-connected monitor.

However, if the Thinkpad is connected to the external monitor and I reboot eCS, then the display is now directed to the LCD screen instead of the external monitor.

  • widescreen activator for intel doesn't help

LightElf?:

Let's check the source code of Panorama VESA, what happens during copy of data? Maybe xResolution*Bpp is used instead of ScanLineBytes?. Or BIOS is using 24bpp instead of 32bpp

#11 NoChangeNeeded Unsure if write-combine is setup correctly. Panorama
Description

My compaq DL380 G3 server have been using SNAP, which can not setup MTRR correctly. Now trying Panorama 1.03 Sysbench says it is 4 times slower than SNAP, so I wonder if write-combining is really enabled. Testlog attached.
