I just installed R8110 beta 2 driver, and now networking is not working. the driver seems to load correctly, but LANTRAN.LOG reports IBM OS/2 LANMSGDD [05/21/04] 6.00 is loaded and operational. IBM OS/2 LAN Netbind PRO0021: A general failure occurred when the program tried to bind TCPIP_NIF to R8110_NIF. My protocol.ini uses minimal entry for r8110 [R8110_nif]
I tried also with suggested settings for beta1, but still same problem. Please adjust trac component and version, I can't set R8110 and 0.1.2 |

In one of the school laboratories, the R8110 is not working. Under XP or Ubuntu connectivity is ok, so it is an os2 specific problem. This happens with 0.1.3 build, but also affected previous releases. No problem if moving to a different school lab or when using home lan. Could be related to 0000000000 mac address? |

Hello Folks; I was using the rtgnda13.zip and thought I would try the R8110 driver, because rtgnda does not get the mac address. Although the driver, R8110$, appears to load at startup, there is no internet connection and lantran.log reports this: IBM OS/2 LANMSGDD [05/21/04] 6.00 is loaded and operational. IBM OS/2 LAN Netbind PRO0021: A general failure occurred when the program tried to bind TCPIP_NIF to R8110_NIF. Any ideas? |
