#14 wontfix R8110 not working into a specific network ydario
Description

In one of the school laboratories, the R8110 is not working. Under XP or Ubuntu connectivity is ok, so it is an os2 specific problem. This happens with 0.1.3 build, but also affected previous releases.

No problem if moving to a different school lab or when using home lan.

Could be related to 0000000000 mac address?

#16 wontfix No network in WinXP or openSUSE after working with eCS Axel Wein
Description

I bought a new mainboard Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3. The Revision 2.2 has a gigabit LAN chip RTL 8111E. I don't know whether the "E" of this chip causes my troubles.

If I install your r8110-0.1.3.zip in an installed eCS 2.1 with MPTS, I get the text "Realtek 8110/1Gb PCIe MAC Driver 0.1.2-BETA Copyright (c) 2010 Mensys BV DEBUG VERSION R8110$ loaded" during bootup, but no network connection is possible.

If I install the driver during eCS 2.1 installation, the bootup text is "Realtek RTL 8110/1G NIC OS/2 Driver v.0.1.2 beta 2011-02-14", and the driver works fine in eCS. But if I reboot with Win XP or openSUSE 11.4 I can't connect to the network. In XP the device manager shows something like "This device can't be startet (Code 10)". Only a cold reboot removes the error.

In both cases 0.1.2 is shown, but it is the driver version 0.1.3!

#25 wontfix Please move driver output from screen to Lantran.log Yoda
Description

It is a very bad idea, that drivers sends output to screen during boot/load. The only time it should do that, is when an error is detected. Output should however always be sent to Lantran.log , just like other well written network drivers do it.

A /V swich could be added, if someone would prefer the output to boot screen - just like implemented in Danis and UNIAUD drivers.

The 'Component' for this ticket should really be 'Generic' as it applies to all Multimac drivers - but unfortunately there is no such choice.
