Make it possible to select columns for copy & paste

It would be desirable to be able to select columns for copy & paste. Right now, text is selected per line, and ignores possible layout of the document.

Implementing this ticket is problematic, as poppler library doesn't have such features. Evince users has the same problem with selection - ​http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325189

in comment 48 from the above link is a document 50.pdf. in that you see the strange behaviour. i guess the patches are not in orginal poppler right now

I applied all patches by Brian Evins in r356 and the test PDFs seem to work OK in terms of the original issue. I didn't apply the patch by Marek Kasik from comment 47 since I couldn't find a proof that it does what it claims using the PDFs I have.

Lowering the priority (it makes sense to keep this bug open until the patches are in the poppler tree and we've updated our SVN to it).

seems fixed with poppler 0.14.2 which is in svn now.
