Description

Today someone ask me to support kBuild on ppc64le archi , he points out to apply patches from : ​https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel:tools:building/kbuild

But it was much better than it was applied upstream (here) .

Also Debian got some patches for kBuild : ​http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-virtualbox/kbuild.git/tree/debian/patches

Sorry only crap in this set of patches or else already reported :

  • Special characters in path #94 ( I never used it),
  • #119 pthreads patch or binutils-gold.diff in Debian
  • #117 I have news on this patch.
  • #118 arm support , also we have some new patches to support ppc64le and arm64,
  • From Debian set of patches we also have 01_gnukfreebsd.diff add support for GNU/kFreeBSD platforms to kbuild It still has a few problems ... , support for sh4 with 02_sh4.diff and yet 05_hppa-disable-threads.diff to fix FTBFS on hppa (by disabling threads).
  • Anyway reviewing all patches from Suse new we got kbuild-man.diff , kbuild-dummy_noreturn.diff,

kbuild-dummy_noreturn.diff and kbuild-wrong-memset.patch , only minor issues.

I'm going check the state of art for ppc64le support.
