Testing bug 50, moving large numbers files and directories from one partition to another, I noticed the following while not having "immediate updates" selected in the notebook settings.
Using drag and drop, I moved a huge number of files and directories from a FAT32 drive to another JFS partiton. If it had not been for my hard drive light being on during the moving, I would not have known that the operation had was still on going and had not failed. The container being moved to remained empty and the CPU showed little activity.
