This could even be made an option for those who like it as it is.

The advantage. Adding or removing a removable drive would automatically be updated. One would no longer have to rescan the drive tree to see if the drive was ejected or added.

  3. In 3.05 b6 file names in the 2 directories don't line up correctly (ie there are blanks in one pane but the corresponding files in the other pane are either above or below the blanks. This only appears to happen when the directories have little or nothing in common. (see attached file)
