#2 fixed Installing airboot while installing eCS2.1 prevents an existing eCS2.0GA from booting Ben Rietbroek losepete
Description

When installing eCS2.1 I elected to give airboot a try as the boot manager.

While airboot could boot the new eCS2.1 installation it could not boot my existing eCS2.0GA installation. Selecting eCS2.0 from the boot menu results in the system starting to boot and stopping immediately.

Removing airboot and reinstalling Boot Manager means that both eCS installations boot fine.

Reinstalling airboot means that the ecS2.0GA installation will not boot.

This is repeatable and indicates a problem with airboot.

#3 fixed NTLDR is missing Ben Rietbroek Axel Wein
Description

I installed eCS 2.1 on a harddisk with a partition for IBM Bootmanager and with Win XP (on C:). With the IBM Bootmanager I could boot Windows without problems. But if I install Air-Boot 1.07 there's the error message "NTLDR is missing". So I installed Air-Boot 1.06, and I can boot Win XP without problems. But Air-Boot 1.06 only can handle 30 partitions and that's not enough for me.

#5 fixed Enabling virus checking makes v1.0.8-rc3 bark when using the drive-letter feature Ben Rietbroek Ben Rietbroek
Description

When virus checking is enabled and the drive-letter feature is used, AiR-BOOT v1.0.8-rc3 mistakenly thinks a virus is active in the PBR.

Solution:

  • Hold down the shift key when AiR-BOOT is about to start
This will cause it to enter SETUP right away
  • Disable the virus checking

This will be fixed in the next RC.
