Hi,
With version 3.14 problem keeps the same, after selecting to go to suspend, the moon icon starts blinking and that's it. Have to get the power of the machine. Tried it with c3 and c2 in acpid.cfg

Hi,
tried the new kernel, the system hangs, i think it hangs at the moment the system does the netbind (I'm using genmac for wired and wireless card). Will test that tomorrow with the netbind disabled and see if I can boot.

Hi,
Tried it again, disabling the tap driver (from genmac for virtualbox) loads the system, even suspend works now! (resuming is not that fast, with a white screen I doubted it would work oke, but then it came back and worked as before.

Sorry, Roderick has disable use OS/4 kernel for acpi. So suspend/resume is't support now.

I keep hearing that this kernel is needed.
My question back is simple I want to have all the details on the table why the current kernel can not work ? When it comes to suspend and resume I so far have not even seen a single core CPU suspend and resume successful. I wish it was different.
Now something like the AMD chipset and booting might be a different topic but I would like to know what is making it not possible to make suspend resume work. Some code must be able to make it work reliable.
Other people have had suspend resume working with specific builds of ACPI. I have never heard why this specific code you put in that OS/4 kernel can not be put in the ACPI.PSD ?

some specific build of acpi.psd was when I discovery for "stable suspend/resume". Discovery is ending and acpi.psd has't specific code. Also this code is absent in OS/4 kernel. OS/4 kernel has do "soft PowerOff CPU" with "enable interrupts" only.

I don't know the differences in kernels, but do know that the os/4 kernel is stable an let's me use the suspend feature on my t61. So maybe it is not that official but it runs very good. :-)
