#258 | unknown | It's necessary add new switch for NVidia: APICasPIC
Description |
It's necessary add new switch to acpi.cfg: APICasPIC (Pasha was going to do this at 2008/04/10) there was a ticket:
Nvidia has two modes of APIC mode. Now we recommend to user add /!NOD The purpose of this switch is different but by "accident" it enables needed mode and allows use this PC (and other NVidias). Why to spend efforts? 1) It's difficult to document why/when to use /!NOD switch. 2) /!NOD - it's a dirty method. |

#273 | unknown | Suspend/resume, Toshiba A100 - Hangs on resume after suspend
Description |
(Transferred from eComStation bug tracker - issue id 0002137) Both Lan and WiFi? connections hang (pings never return) if the system issues a warning beep, eg adding file to trash, command line filename completion in 4OS2 etc. The connections never return until a reboot is made. I am working round the issue by disabling the warning beep in the control panel. I have also noticed that if a USB mouse is attached when the network hangs, the mouse stops responding and a few minutes later the machine hangs, but the network problem occurs whether a mouse is attached or not. I have no audio drivers installed as they weren't auto-detected. When I did install uniaud the sound was flaky, so I reinstalled the system without audio. Is there some way I can force a new connection to be made? I've tried plugging and unplugging the LAN and reconnecting to the wireless point, but the connections don't come back until I reboot. Thanks! This might be useful - Toshiba Laptop
