2        provided that it is suid root.  <code class="literal">smbumount</code> has
3        been written to give normal Linux users more control over their
4        resources. It is safe to install this program suid root, because only
5        the user who has mounted a filesystem is allowed to unmount it again. 
6        For root it is not necessary to use smbumount. The normal umount
7        program works perfectly well.</p><p>WARNING: <code class="literal">smbumount</code> is deprecated and not
8        maintained any longer. <code class="literal">umount.cifs</code>
