INTRODUCTION

The RPM Package Manager (RPM) is a powerful command line driven package management
system capable of installing, uninstalling, verifying, querying, and updating computer
software packages. Each software package consists of an archive of files along with
information about the package like its version, a description, and the like.

Yum is an automatic updater and package installer/remover for rpm systems.
It automatically computes dependencies and figures out what things should occur to
install packages. It makes it easier to maintain groups of machines without having
to manually update each one using rpm.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- eComStation 1.x,2.x

- OS/2 Warp

- 32bit tcpip stack

INSTALLATION

Unzip this archive to the root of your preferred drive.
Make the following changes to X:\CONFIG.SYS

SET UNIXROOT=Y:
SET PATH=Y:\USR\SBIN;Y:\USR\BIN;...

Reboot your system.

While UNIXROOT can be any existing path, only installation to drive root is
supported in this distribution. Manual installation to other paths is possible, but it
is not confirmed all applications can work.
