the desktop comes up (via the startup folder).
Since the deamon is so crucial for APM support I find it safer to load
it via the config.sys.

Did I remeber correctly this needs to be to save certain buffers to RAM when PM is initialised to memory.

Can ACPIDEAMON not do this by checking to see if PMSHELL is fully
loaded in memory and then save these buffers ?!

A much cleaner approach then starting so a crucial demon via the
startup folder with the risk people remove it.
