261	USB drive problem	losepete	eco	"After applying ACPI support to a working eCS1.2R system the system ""lost"" the ability to have more than 1 USB drive attached at the same time; if data/applications are required from a different USB drive it is necessary to Eject the currently attached USB drive before attaching a different USB drive.

Having performed a clean, minimal eCS2.0RC5 installation *Without* ACPI support during the installation and *Without* selecting to install ACPI I can state there was not a USB drive problem ie: No ACPI involved, No USB drive problem - I can attach all 4 USB drives available here *at the same time*

I then reinstalled eCs2.0RC5 with ACPI support, installed and configured ACPI support.

I corrected the ACPI Wizard's failure to add the ""/!NOD"" switch that I specified for the config.sys line and rebooted. PSD line in use is :-

PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC /TMR /CD /!NOD

After the system had booted it was no longer possible to attach more than 1 USB drive and get the system to recognise the 2nd USB drive. The 2nd USB drive LED flashes when plugged in but the usual ""Device x: has been attached"" message does not appear, the drive is not in the Drives folder, Refresh Removable Drives does not cause it to appear - it is seen by tools such as USBDock though.

Regards

Pete
