PageOutline = Welcome to the development home of Wireless LAN Monitor (XWLAN/WLAN) = XWLAN/WLAN enables you to switch your OS/2 - eComStation system between wired and wireless network. The Wireless LAN Monitor is available both as a XCenter Widget as well as a standalone program. Please check more information about this project at this page. From here you can report bugs and view your tickets. This page needs some polishing. So if you want to contribute feel free to contact the project maintainers. == Binaries == 20140301 new version available at ftp.netlabs [ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/wlan/xwlan312beta2.zip] v3.12 beta2 - Fixed blocking xcenter/WPS caused by dhclient VIO window - New option for suppressing beeps from DHCP client and when connection is established - Enable write to log file for dhclient instead running in VIO window - instwgt.cmd now unlocks files before copying (new unlock.exe included) - Added dhclient.exe and dhconf.cmd (should be available in a future dhclient.rpm) For older versions see Versions History == Feedback and Support == If you find bugs, please create a New Ticket. The support list is mirrored at xwlan/wlan user. == History == Christian Langanke has developed xwlan/wlan from the beginning as Netlabs open source project. Xwlan is the standard tool for almost all eCS notebook users for switching between wireless and wired network profiles. Since years xwlan works very well. But now it needs some minor updates and bug fixes. For this we transferred the cvs source code into svn and set up this ticket system. Beside developing the source code Christian made a marvelous good job in documentation and making presentations at various Warpstock events. Follow the links at In January 2013 Andreas Buchinger began to contribute. First step was pushing Adrian to set up the svn and creating this page. == Building xwlan == * check out complete source tree from svn (trunk) * follow the included documentation From build.txt {{{ - Does not build with rc.exe v5.xx. Use rc v4.00.011 instead. - Does not build with DEBUG=1 and PMPRINTF=1 set together - nmake does not always honor SET COMPILER365=1 set by vac3.65 setenv.cmd so there's a hack for that at the beginning of rules.in. Seems to be some environment variable memory overflow. Maybe only on my machine. - When using vac3.65 the 'Workplace Shell Toolkit' has to be compiled with vac3.65 too of course.
