    2 I am a bit confused, I can see 5 instances of USBOHCD.SYS loading (initially) but after INIT, only 2 instances remain loaded (3 instances are direcly unloaded after init).What happened to the 3 that are unloaded ?[[BR]]

You should but with the /V switch and find out what error message is displayed.[[BR]]
    35On the remaining 2 instances I cannot see any port activity whatsoever on any port (where 1 instance serves 2 ports whereas the other serves 3 ports). Did you have devices plugged in on boot ? Did you plug in any devices thereafter ?
