Versioning Info

There has been some confusion with regard to the versioning of Uniaud release candidates and supplementary modules. This page shall attempt to address those concerns.

1.1.x Branch

This is a the base Uniaud driver. The current level is 1.1.4 RC6, on the way to 1.1.4 GA (General Availability, or a "release" build). All other 1.1.4 builds have been alpha, beta, gamma, or release candidates, and as such, should be considered "under test" and not final quality.

ALSA 1.0.x or HDA 1.0.x Builds

These are experimental builds of uniaud32.sys based upon the requisite ALSA build. Paul Smedley has produced these, and they are available from his ​download page. These will be labeled uniaud-hda-1.0.x.zip or uniaud-alsa-1.0.x.zip. [Need reference to the fine differences between "alsa" and "hda" in this context.]

1.9.x Branch

These are HDA supporting experimental builds of uniaud32.sys available from Paul Smedley's ​download page. Ultimately, these will lead into Uniaud 2.0, hopefully with hardware support on par with the ​ALSA Project.
