#200 | too-old | No sound in VirtualPC
Description |
Yet another build of uniaud that is incapable of producing audio when running WindowsXP as a guest os in VirtualPC. As others have reported that audio works for their system when running a guest os in VirtualPC I can only guess the cause of the problem is the lack of support in the recent uniaud builds for the hardware in use here. The latest builds of uniaud that actually work are uniaud16.sys from uniaud114rc6 uniaud32.sys from uniaud1.9.2 Hardware involved:- nVidia nForce430/mCP61 Realtek AD1988 Maybe you should revisit the above uniaud builds to establish where the support for this hardware disappeared to. |

#199 | too-old | System hangs after playing Startup sound
Description |
There is a boot problem with uniaud195-1925: The system hangs after playing the Startup sound. Today I gave up trying to boot to a working Desktop after 5 attempts and booted to a command line where I deleted the uniaud*.sys files and replaced them with the last builds of uniaud*.sys that work reasonably well - uniaud32.sys 1.9.2 and uniaud16.sys from 114rc6. Obviously this failure to boot means that I cannot supply any log file. I also see that my question about the hardware in use by David, who claims to be using build 195-1925 on a system using the nVidia MCP61 chipset successfully, remains unanswered - again. I have now asked twice for clarification of the hardware that he claims is the same as in use here and been ignored both times. That leaves me wondering why the query is not answered? Either way I am sorry to say that none of David's uniaud builds to date are of any use on my system. Any chance of a working build anytime in the near future? Regards Pete |
