#263 fixed Connection timeout (sleep with slow awakening) Lewis Rosenthal
Description

This continues the discussion we've had on the dev list, as it just happened to me with a NTLM/SMB1 share.

Connection was mapped and working. It sat idle for 61 minutes and few seconds. using 4OS2, I attempted a tab completion for a path, and got a beep (as it might if the drive were disconnected or the beginning of the path otherwise invalid).

Using ndpsmb-samba_4.2.3-heimdal-20150716b, log.ndpsmb shows:

A subsequent:

dir g:\

paused for a few seconds, then provided results. Afterward, the same tab completion as above worked as expected (no delay; no beep).

Obviously, using CMD this would not be an issue, as there is no tab completion. I suspect that if we were able to cache the dir entries, this might also not be an issue, as we would return results from cache first (though an hour would be a long cache timeout).

Note that EA support is enabled for this share, even though the server does not support EAs over CIFS. I doubt that this has any bearing, however (the log does correctly report failure to get EA data when listing files).

#113 invalid Connections Dropping Out Herwig Bauernfeind pcgalen
Description

Hello. I have an ecs rc7 box with the latest version of evsgui posted on netlabs. Everything works nicely but the connections drop out after only a few minutes forcing me to re-run the setup script to get them back. This is beta 6 but that was not a choice in the dropdown.

#123 lack of feedback Copy existing file... Silvan Scherrer David McKenna
Description

Server: eCS 2.0 rc7 with SAMBA 1.03

Client: eCS 2.0 rc6 with Netdrive 3.1.1 and ndpsmb 1.5beta4

File sharing and printing seems to work properly.

Try to copy a file that already exists from the client to the server using the WPS by drag and drop, the file is first copied, then a message comes up saying it already exists. This can waste a lot of time with large files. Doing this on local drives the message appears immediately - before copying.

Note: See TracQuery for help on using queries.
