#317 no change needed 'Get specific release' troubles.. David McKenna
Description

Just installed ArcaOS 5.0.3 on my laptop (HP Probook 6570b) using 'full control' and installed everything checked, plus SeaMonkey? (and no other option). It works great (with a couple quirks). I noticed that it installed all of the BWW stuff using the i686 version (if there was a choice for that in the install, I missed it). The latest ANPM allows 'Get specific release' and so I went thru and installed as many of the 'Pentium4' versions as I could (after changing the 'platform' variable in ANPM). But there were a few that offered a pentium4 version that didn't work. They just installed the same i686 version (or in one case, the i386 version). They are:

coreutils 8.26-2 fontconfig 2.12-4 mmap 0.5-1 (installed the i386 version) nspr 4.12.0-4 rpm 4.13.0-17 plus rpm-libs 4.13.0-17 yum 3.4.3-11 zlib 1.2.11-2

I was able to choose the previous pentium4 version and downgrade to that, then update to the latest on all but coreutils and rpm and rpm-libs.

Not sure if this is the right place to report this. Please correct me if I should report to ArcaNoae?.

Regards,

#331 fixed Fluidsynth install fails David McKenna
Description

Using ANPM to install, I get this message:

[u'ERROR with transaction check vs depsolve:', 'flac8.dll is needed by fluidsynth-libs-2.0.4-1.pentium4', 'vorbis0.dll is needed by fluidsynth-libs-2.0.4-1.pentium4', 'vorbise2.dll is needed by fluidsynth-libs-2.0.4-1.pentium4', u'Please report this error at http://trac.netlabs.org/rpm/']

BTW, why does fluidsynth attempt to install automake. autoconf and other development libraries?

#344 fixed Yum update does not pick up new packages David McKenna
Description

There was a recent announcement of new packages in both the -rel and -exp repositories (zip, gcc, sane, and others) but when I check with ANPM, I don't see any new packages listed. From the command prompt YUM update shows:

[C:\]yum update Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, replace Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile

  • netlabs-exp: www.2rosenthals.com
  • netlabs-rel: www.2rosenthals.com

Setting up Update Process No Packages marked for Update

What could be wrong? I've tried for a few days now and this happens on both my ArcaOS 5.0.4 installations. Have the new packages been withdrawn?
