Description
after having installed the program (and all prerequisites), it works in my system but at startup a boring error mmessage comes: "WinCreateHelpInstance failed" , then after pressed the OK gadget, it goes well. Would be much better having a clean start. Thank you

Hi, it is 1.40. Both lines you mentioned are already in the config.sys, with the correct path and the correct file names. The two hlp files are present in Lucide directory, in addition there is also an it laguage hlp file. But then I cannot open any help item from the program menu, nothing happens clicking on one of those item. I run Lucide from his object icon and also by opening a pdf file. I here attach a second image for the above described. Thank you

What happens if you copy lucide_en.hlp to lucide_it.hlp and gbm_en.hlp to gbm_it.hlp?

Can you open both lucide_en.hlp and GBM_en.hlp using their objects or the command line? If you can try changing SET LUCIDEHELP=lucide_en.hlp+gbm_en.hlp to SET LUCIDEHELP=lucide_en.hlp in config.sys.

the config.sys line changing (SET LUCIDEHELP=lucide_en.hlp+gbm_en.hlp to SET LUCIDEHELP=lucide_en.hlp ) has solved the issue! Now no more warning message appears as Lucide starts, and the items in the Help menu in Lucide window, work as expected. Thank you
Is this with one of the 1.41 betas? Is SET LUCIDEINSTALLPATH=X:\Programs\Lucide in your config.sys? If the answers to these are yes and no respectively I know what the problem is and it is fixed for the next release. You can fix it by adding the SET statement above to your config, sys (change the path as needed).
If your answers aren't yes and no. Please check the following: Is SET LUCIDEHELP=lucide_en.hlp+gbm_en.hlp in your config.sys? If it is are both the help files in the install directory? How did you start it (object, command line, association) or it doesn't matter? Note don't add this SET statement to config.sys unless both files are present (it is likely gbm_en.hlp isn't)
