: About Lucide ::

Lucide is a plugin-based document viewer with support for various file formats.

It provides a SOM based plugin architecture which allows 3rd party programmers
to easily add more plugins.

: Known problems/limitations ::

General: even/odd printing unavailable for postscript printing.

General: currently, Lucide determines the document type by extension, so
         files without extensions are not supported yet.

General: files with more than one dot in the filename are not displayed in
         the Open File dialog. This is not a Lucide problem, but a problem
         of the standard Open File dialog.

PDF plugin: text selection in multicolumn documents may work incorrectly
            and Lucide may even crash. It's a problem of poppler PDF rendering
            library.

: Pipe commands ::

First instance of Lucide will create named pipe \PIPE\LUCIDE. You may
send following commands to pipe:

$prev              - will switch to previous page
$next              - will switch to next page
$switchfullscreen  - will switch to fullscreen (even if minimized)
$minimize          - will mimimize Lucide (even if fullscreen)

This may be useful for presentations with remote control.

: License ::

Lucide is licensed for use with eComStation only. You are not allowed to
distribute the product by uploading it to public Internet servers or by any
other means make it publicly available.

The plugins are released under CDDL/LGPL or GPL, depending on the plugin. See
