Milestone 2.9.0

Tile/cascade additions; better restoration of minimized windows to proper (original) virtual desktops (under XPager); resolution to exit trap observed on some systems.

This was to be 2.82, but the team decided that so much has gone into this one, to increment the minor version number. Also, the versioning convention changes with this release, so that bug fixes will be after the second dot.
