#19 robh fixed Network printers not detected with install via Realtek NIC
Description

Recently I installed the latest driver (3.12.8) for the Realtek NIC on my motherboard (Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3), and it works fine with connection to Internet and file transfer to and from a NAS. But when installing a new (network) printer via the eCups wizard menu 'Install CUPS printer' after selecting a brand+type no printer is found and manual install is the only choice. But even after specifying the correct IP address (ping works) nothing is ever printed. Job status is 'printer does not exist' (or similar words). However when installing a new printer by using an Intel NIC (on a PCI card) my network printers are detected properly and work fine, even after switching back to the Realtek NIC. So it seems purely an install issue with eCups and the Realtek NIC. The issue is reproducible.

#20 Alex Taylor diver fixed Laserjet.drv installation
Description

When installing a Lasetjet driver via the eCS Printer Manager V0.50, the file lasetjet.drv is not copied to os2\dll\laserjet directory.

The reason seems different EA format than PSDriver as example.

#22 batchheizer fixed Foomatic-rip-4_0_5.wpi - exe broken?
Description

My "HP_LaserJet_Professional_P1606dn" should work with foomatic.

With the Driver "HP LaserJet? Pro P1606dn Foomatic/foo2zjs-z2 (recommended) (grayscale, 2-sided printing)" I get "/cups/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip.exe failed"

On Commandline I get:

[c:\cups\lib\cups\filter]foomatic-rip.exe
SYS0193: C:\cups\lib\cups\filter\foomatic-rip.exe cannot be run in a OS/2 sessio
n. "C:\cups\lib\cups\filter\foomatic-rip.exe"

Maybe because the EXE is only 27 Bytes big - there seems to be something broken. There is a second "foomatic-rip.exe" in the WPI with 37K. It is extracted to cups/bin - is this correct?

The newer foomatic-rip.exe from "cups-filters-1.0.61-os2-20141011.zip" is about 300K gives no error. There is only one foomatic-rip.exe in this ZIP, extracted to "lib\cups\filter".

So my Question: Is there a defect in "Foomatic-rip-4_0_5.wpi" and its files?
