#29 fixed AirBoot hangs with blank screen -- CAD works Ben Rietbroek Ben Rietbroek
Description

[build:20161010 -- Reported on AN-testers:20170217:'ArcaOS 4.9.5 Air Boot']

I have a 16 GB USB stick, formatted by win 10, as FAT32 (no LVM information, naturally, and DFSEE says it is Large Floppy). If it is attached at boot time (an Asus M3A78-EM motherboard, which does have some issues with USB), the BIOS "sees" it. It is not bootable, so BIOS properly ignores it. Then, the screen turns black, flashes something, for about 1/4 second, and nothing else happens. This would seem to be Air Boot, which should also ignore it. I will note, that the old Air Boot (1.1.0), on my L530, causes a message that there is a HDD with a bad partition table, and it refuses to go further until I remove the stick (at least there is a clue that something is wrong). I can reboot, with CAD, so it isn't hung. DSFEE finds nothing wrong with it, and win 10 is perfectly happy with it. Even Lars' USB driver (USB215) is perfectly happy to use it, when I plug it in after booting. AN USB 11.14 says it isn't usable (FAT32, > 2 GB, without a partition, and LVM information).

#2 fixed Installing airboot while installing eCS2.1 prevents an existing eCS2.0GA from booting Ben Rietbroek losepete
Description

When installing eCS2.1 I elected to give airboot a try as the boot manager.

While airboot could boot the new eCS2.1 installation it could not boot my existing eCS2.0GA installation. Selecting eCS2.0 from the boot menu results in the system starting to boot and stopping immediately.

Removing airboot and reinstalling Boot Manager means that both eCS installations boot fine.

Reinstalling airboot means that the ecS2.0GA installation will not boot.

This is repeatable and indicates a problem with airboot.

#17 fixed Air-Boot failure message "Load Error!" when startup Ubuntu jwl
Description

Good Afternoon,

On my PC I have installed on disk 1 Windows 7 and EcomStation? 2.2, I have a second disk for Archive, and now I installed a third disk 250GB, where I installed Ubuntu, this disk I have a Primary partition from 50 Gb (/) and a logical partition 186 (/home) end the rest for the swap file. I reinstalled with ecomstation air-boot but when I chose Linux i get the failure "Load Error! Iḿ still able to choose for W7 and Ecomstation. I can only start linux when I chose in the bios the disk with Linux to start up

I hope you can help, in the manual on page 28 I worked out the steps to replace Grub, also I repaired Grub then what was described on page 28 isn the solution for me. After that I had to reinstall Ubuntu.

Thanks already for suggestions
