Motherboard is Asus M5A88-V EVO Worked fine with ACPI 3.21.04 with the /VW switch, but with 3.21.06 I saw the eCS "boot blob", then a flashing cursor in the top left, and that is the state in which it remained. I booted to a maintenance partition and removed the /VW switch, then rebooted. This time I saw the beginnings of a Trap 0008 report, but then it froze part-way through the CS:EIP line. |

Adding the switch /WA=II0O (Ignore Interupt Zero Overide)to the ACPI.PSD line in the config.sys solved the interrupt related issues with the OS/2 application Emperoar TV and the Java application iTrain on my system with ASUS A8N MOBO (Phoenix Award BIOS) with NVIDIA chipset and Athlon 3800 X64 dualcore. Running without ACPI drivers both applications are working very well, but with ACPI installed the /WA=ii0o SWITCH IS NECESSARY! (at least on this MOBO. |

The TV application Emperoar TV hangs with ACPI installed and running recorded movies was also not working as Emperoar TV hangs with a repeating error sound. The java program iTrain (used to control my model train layout) works okay with ACPI not installed. With ACPI installed the iTrain startup splash screen doesn't disappear anymore and all kind of functions got either very slow or do not work at all. Both applications are heavy interrupt users. |
