Description |
Installed files, changed config.sys line to PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /APIC and rebooted. Boot failed almost immediately stopping at the "Loading USBEHCD.SYS" and then displaying a TRAP 000d. I edited CONFIG.SYS and removed all USB drivers. Reboot failed when loading uniaud32.sys so I edited CONFIG.SYS and removed uniaud drivers. System could then boot to a working Desktop; Log files created and attached. Use of tmrtest.exe reveals the necessity for the /TMR switch; as I also want audio and USB support I changed the CONFIG.SYS line to PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /CD /TMR /APIC /!NOD and rebooted - successfully. Polling is enabled. System seems fairly stable in use but I discovered there is a problem with USB attached drives: I can attach a usb drive and copy a few files from or to that drive without a problem. However longer use than around 6 minutes results in the system locking up requiring a press of the Reset button - regardless of whether I'm using WPS or VIO window for file copying. Log attached as 20090511_acpi-log-Model-of-your-PC.ziq I have now reverted to v3.14 |
